Filo Fax Craze?

Have you ever heard of the Filo Fax planner?  It is quite popular now to have this one or some other planner and embellish them with all kinds of fun things!  I was looking this up over the winter and was very intrigued how I could use much of my scrapbooking stash to embellish a planner I have had for years.

My planner is a red (not my favorite color, but the one I had)Franklin-Covey Day One.   I used it back about 2007.  I have been thinking about bringing it back to life recently when I ran across all these YouTube videos, Facebook posts and Pinterest pages about planners and specifically Filo Fax.  Filo Fax and alot of the others are pricey...so I am working little by little to revive mine.  But, if you are interested, some of the other brands are Kikki, Franklin-Covey, Daytimer, Mead, Kate Spade, and Malden, to name a few.  Of course they come in different sizes as well depending on what works best for you. And I won't go into the color assortment.

So, I think I will do some posts about how to use your scrapbooking and papercrafting supplies on these planners.  Everything from markers to washi tape is used in some way.  It just depends on how embellished you want to make it.  Meanwhile, here are a couple of pictures of dividers I made for mine using stash I had on hand.  Enjoy!  Let me know in the comments what you use for a planner and do you embellish it?

This is my "title page" so to speak.  I enjoyed making it and it is not a divider.  Just the first page you see.
This is the divider for my Bible study notes, prayer sheets and anything else I shove in there.  I tried to use things that are an encouragement to me or reminder of something I want to work on.
This is the back of the previous page and I love it!  It looks better in person.  The embellishment came from a Ladies' Retreat that I attended years ago. The quote "God is good ALL the time" I first saw when my mom was diagnosed with colon cancer.  It has been a favorite ever since (almost 12 years ago) and even through her passing.  The word TRUST is a reminder to me to trust my God in all things.  I have needed that with our move last year.
This is just another divider page.  I also use sticky notes on these as needed....I LOVE sticky notes!
Another couple of dividers that are a bit different from each other.

This page is part of a page protector and I used Washi tape to reinforce the side where the holes are punched and it spruce's it up!  I like that it is clear and won't cover up what ever I put under it.  I use it for sticky notes as well.

I hope you enjoyed taking a peek at the beginnings of my planner.  Let me hear from you what you have done or might be interested in!

A little peek....

Maybe you have heard about our new organization totes!  Here is a little video to give you an idea of what it is all about.  We now have a shoulder tote and the rolling tote.  Easy ways to organize all your papercrafting or other craft supplies for on the go fun!

Here is a picture of the shoulder tote.  Isn't that a fun color?!  Remember, colors don't show up often on computer as true to form.  The rolling tote above is a bit more turquoise than it is shown in either picture.

Crush Book Pictures

I never got a chance to  post the pics from my daughter's senior year crush book, so I am finally getting to that today!  I hope it will inspire you to "CRUSH" a few memories.  Take notice that not every page has to be extremely embellished!  If that is your style and you have time....great!  If not, see how simple it is to keep your precious memories accessible to you.

Our trip to Japan had sooo many pictures of food, especially dessert!  So Flip Flaps came in quite handy here.

It was a rather eventful school year and now she has many, many memories to visit anytime!
